“Thank you to the whole entire team. I am grateful literally all yoga studios I tried out recommended Samadhi. I feel so filled with knowledge, joy, everything after this training. I am excited to incorporate in my every day life.”
Mary K. Spring 2024 graduate
This program, and this sangha, have been wonderful additions to my life. I'm looking forward to teaching some community classes at Samadhi in July and Aug, potentially signing up for the 10-week teaching, and maybe figuring out a mentorship with Soozie. It feels good that there are concrete steps to keep growing as a teacher beyond this training. I definitely want to keep Samadhi in my life. Thank you for everything!

FAQ’s
-
We accept students with varying levels of experience, some newer to yoga and others who have been practicing for years. What they all have in common is sincere interest in personal development and learning the deeper aspects of yoga: the philosophy and energetics behind the poses and practices.
-
Samadhi’s is a Hatha Vinyasa based training, and this is what students learn to teach. Additionally, we include intros to a broad range of styles including Restorative, Yin, Nidra, Prenatal, Adaptive, Trauma Sensitive and more.
-
Yes, Samadhi is a registered school with Yoga Alliance, meaning graduates may join as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) if they choose.
-
Lots of students have not decided if they plan to teach or in what setting they might do so. The training offers tons of inspiration for growth which can be shared with others or reflected upon and used throughout one’s life. If you are absolutely sure you do not want to teach, you might consider the immersion course for personal development, rather than professional certification.
-
Yes. There are practicums during the course and each student is required to organize and teach 3 classes in order to graduate. But, don’t worry, this happens later in the training when students are feeling prepared, we promise, and we provide support and ideas for going about this.
-
We strive to support our newly-trained teachers in their quest to gain teaching experience. And we also have some of the most experienced teachers in Denver on our class schedule. So, we offer free community classes led by our graduates on a rotating basis.
-
There are 5 books, available for purchase on the Samadhi bookshelf, which are referenced during the training. And, we believe they will be valuable resources for you for years to come. They are:
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Living your Yoga
The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies
Living Your Yoga
Teaching Yoga
The Key Muscles of Yoga
We provide a manual.
You should bring your yoga mat, a journal or notebook, and something to write with.
We have mats available for sale and loaners, if needed. The studio is equipped with the props you might need for practice: blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps.
-
Students are required to donate 4 hours of Seva, selfless service, anywhere in the community; teach 3 casual classes, observe 3 classes, take 18 public classes and create and present a final personal project.
-
Generally, somewhere around 15 students. 18 is the max, based on the space we use - the beautiful Lakshmi Room.
-
Full availability to be present throughout the training is ideal, however students may miss 3 lecture sessions without a make up requirement.
Make-up is available for up to 2 full weekends. If we know that more than 2 weekends of absences are inevitable, we may recommend deferring to a future training. Or, we may be able to support completion, depending on the content that will be missed and other individual considerations.
Most asana sessions must be made up, scheduled privately according to teacher availability, at the rate of $100/hour. A 3 hour session can usually be covered in 1-1.5 hours and there is potential to split this time/cost with another student(s).
Lecture sessions (philosophy, theory, etc) can be made up by listening to previously-recorded audio sessions and submitting a writing a summary of the material covered.
-
There is some flexibility, so please reach out with financial considerations.
Generally, a $500 deposit secures one’s spot in the course. Then, auto-payments are scheduled, according to a promissory note signed by the student, who can choose dates and amounts of successive autopayments. Full tuition must be received in order to receive certificate.
-
The best way to feel ready for yoga teacher training is to develop a consistent yoga and meditation practice. If you have time to read up ahead of time, it does not hurt to do so, but pre=reading is not required.
-
If you have not yet been to the studio, we highly recommend you visit and take a class with us, as a first step, if possible. If you are new, please use promo code NewSamadhi for your first class as our guest.
Enjoy the space and experience, determine location convenience, financial and attendance readiness.
Attend an info circle or listen to the recording linked near the top of this page, or reach out with individual questions if you have any.
Complete the application so we can contact you to help determine good fit and timing.
Submit the deposit (or pay in full for a discount if you prefer).
