Samadhi Teacher Apprenticeship

Current teacher trainees and graduates (of Samadhi or other training programs) may enter into a mentorship with a Samadhi teacher of their choice. We recommend working with an instructor is 500 hour certified, with a minimum 5 years teaching experience, and currently teach in the studio. Many/most of our teachers meet this criteria. Apprenticeship approximately 14 weeks of mentoring, and is based on the following terms, and may be individualized around the student’s goals:

  1. Student will learn closely with their mentor/teacher both inside, and a limited time outside, of the yoga classroom: Approximately 13 total in-class hours. This may vary based on the length of the mentor’s classes and the number of optional classes attended. 

    6.25 total one:one hours, outside of public classes, with the mentor teacher, as outlined below.

  2. Program includes participation in mentor’s public Samadhi classes as follows:

    - Unlimited access to the mentor teacher’s public classes for 14 weeks.

    - Observation:  4 classes

    - Assisting:  5 classes 

    - Opening:  2 classes

    - Closing:  2 classes

  3. Private Instruction:  Two 1- hour sessions with the mentor discussing theory, techniques and more. These may be held at Samadhi, if scheduling allows, virtually or in an alternative location.

  4. 15min Q/A with mentor following each of the 13 public classes attended/assisted

  5. 1- hour community or existing class taught by mentee at the end of the program, with written feedback provided by mentor within a week following. If held at Samadhi, this class is taught on a Seva basis, and no financial pay is rendered. This class is to be self-promoted and scheduled at a time when the mentor teacher is able to attend. Samadhi studio is available outside of regular class hours, or this can be held in an alternative studio/location.

6.25 total one:one hours, outside of public classes, with the mentor teacher. Two 1-hour private sessions, a 1- hour community class, and 13 Q/A’s @15 minutes each.

Tuition: $799

Payment plan: Three monthly scheduled payments of $274.66 (includes added $25 fee).  

Mentorship is based on preferred teacher’s availability. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
